Every feature in Sharthy comes from real problems we’ve seen in real shops — the udhaar confusion, the stock guessing, the end-of-day headaches. We didn’t read about these problems in a market-research PDF. We lived them.
We’re not a Silicon Valley startup trying to “disrupt” Indian retail. We’re Indians building for Indians — software that understands udhaar, khata and the way a shop actually runs.

The Name
Sharthy, Sarthi, Sharthi — same app
The name comes from सारथी — sarthi, the charioteer. In the Mahabharata the sarthi is not the one who fights the battle; he is the one who knows the ground, holds the reins steady and makes sure the person fighting can focus on what matters. That is the job we wanted the software to do for a shop owner.
We spell it Sharthy. Most people hear the name before they see it, so they write it a dozen other ways — Sarthi, Sharthi, Sarthy, Saarthi, Sarathi, even Sharthhi. Every one of those is us. There is only one Sharthy: billing, inventory, udhaar and khata for Indian shops, with an AI assistant that answers in Hindi.
